KIN.
A 5 part queer-trans NDN web series, KIN. is an honest and comedic exploration of the urban queer and trans Indigenous experience centred around a group of friends and their social media obsessed lives. Exploring romance, identity, and belonging with an all-Indigenous cast and crew, KIN. offers a realistic window into the lives of Indigenous queer and trans people and the complexities they face as they come of age.
Written, directed, and produced by Justin Ducharme, KIN. was produced by Jas Morgan’s Sewing Circle productions with KIN., Episodes 2 and 3, respectively, directed and co-directed by Theo Cuthand and KIN., Episode 4 written by Arielle Twist.

Justin Ducharme is a writer, filmmaker & curator originally from the Métis community of St. Ambroise, Manitoba. His writing has been featured in Canadian Art, Sex Worker Wisdom, Room Magazine and Filmmaker Mag. He currently lives on the stolen and occupied territory of the Coast Salish peoples colonially known as Vancouver.
Theo Jean Cuthand (b. Regina, Saskatchewan) has been making short experimental narrative videos and films about sexuality, madness, Queer identity and love, and Indigeneity since 1995. He has made 32 videos and films and counting and currently he has a feature film in development. Theo is of Plains Cree and Scots descent, a member of Little Pine First Nation, and currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
