A gorgeously restorative debut from filmmaker Subhadra Mahajan, Second Chance follows Nia who, after experiencing the first major trauma of her young life, retreats to her family summer home in the Himalayas where time, nature, and unlikely friendships help her heal. A soothing balm of a film, Second Chance beautifully dissects the culture of pain, grief, and escapism, imbuing a disarmingly simple story with a grace and a serenity that turns it into a heartfelt act of gratitude for the places and relations that heal one another.
