Each festival, we invite schools from Regent Park and surrounding areas to attend our curated program of short films suitable for Grades 1-8. Featuring themes relevant to and engaging for young people, our School Program encourages self-representation and seeks to promote dialogue among students, educators, filmmakers and the wider community.

Commitments & Preferred Qualifications
Potential program advisory members must:
- Attend scheduled virtual meetings to discuss films with fellow advisory members as well as RPFF’s Manager, Programming and Coordinator, Programming
- Commit to individually watching and reviewing select films as well as potentially advising RPFF programming staff as they create RPFF’s School Program lesson plan
- Be able to constructively critique selected films in a nuanced and concise manner
- Likewise, be able to provide feedback on films through a lens of equity, anti-oppression and anti-racism as well as with respect to Regent Park’s communities and context
- Be comfortable adhering to confidentiality of programming decisions and films watched
- Most importantly, have experience creating programming for children, developing lesson plans, or other relevant children’s educational material.

- Advisory members will receive a $415 honorarium
- The time commitment required for screening responsibilities and meetings will not exceed 12 hours
- Meetings will be 1 hour in length and occur virtually
- The School Program advisory will meet once per month from June to August
