Free childcare at Regent Park Film Festival

November 4, 2013 by Ananya

The Regent Park Film Festival offers free childcare during the entire Festival. Parents can sign their child(ren) in to childcare for the duration of a film at any time during the Festival. See Festival staff for more information.

Meet our 2 qualified childcare providers:

Nafeela

Nafeela is well known in the Regent Park community. She has lived in Regent Park for over 22 years, raising all three of her children in the neighbourhood.

Nafeela has been providing childcare in the Regent Park community for many years, starting with her work with TCHC, Yonge Street Misssion and she is now with the Toronto District School Board. She feels strongly that it is important to have good communication with parents/caregivers who entrust their children with her.

Shazida

Shazida has lived in Regent Park for 13 years and has raised her 4 children neighbourhood. She holds a home based childcare certificate from Mothercraft and has extensive childcare experience through her own in-home childcare and her work at Yonge Street Mission.

Shazida says she treats all children in her care as if they were her own.
