Message from the RPFF Board of Directors

The Board would like to announce that Angela Britto will be stepping away from her role as Executive Director of the Regent Park Film Festival at the end of March to embark on new endeavours in her career.

During her time as the Executive Director, Angela has successfully led the team to pivot from in-person to online and then hybrid operations and programming during this unprecedented global pandemic, while expanding internal capacity, deepening partnerships and spearheading programs that support BIPOC artists and communities.

The Board of Directors wishes Angela all the best and we know that she will continue to be part of our community and a champion of RPFF. We thank her for her grit, service, commitment, empathy, and leadership.

Betty Xie
Board Chair

Message from the Executive Director

Dear RPFF Community,

It’s been an honour to lead the Regent Park Film Festival through three Annual Festivals over these past years. I am proud to have had the opportunity to work at RPFF in a space that so closely aligns with my values of equity and community building.

During a time of challenges due to COVID’s impact, what has remained a constant has been the hard work and dedication of the RPFF staff and Board who have always put the communities we serve first and will continue to do so over this period of transition.

What has also sustained us is the support of our donors, funders, partners, champions and audiences, who have remained committed to RPFF’s work and made it possible for us to keep serving BIPOC filmmakers and communities through incredible free programs and initiatives.

I am excited for a new leader to step in and take RPFF in new directions and I will work closely with the Board and staff to ensure a smooth transition to the new Executive Director, who will lead RPFF into the 20th anniversary festival and a new strategic plan.

Please share the below job posting widely. I and the rest of the team look forward to supporting the transition and continuing to work with you all.

Warmly,

Angela Britto

Executive Director
