It is often easy to forget or lose our way. This program focuses on the concept of self-identity and belonging; building relationships and facing challenges. The films in this program explore what it means to hold onto, celebrate, and reflect on our sense of who we are.

Pasha April Lucina Namajuk Christina Partridge is an Inuk and Kanien’kehà:ka two-spirit cisgender female from two “K-towns”, Kuujjuaq/Kahnawake. Being double Indigenous and multi-spirited, her interests are on learning the lost knowledge and strengthening our connection to them. Her short film, The Story of Pasha, has her artwork integrated into every scene.

Ukaliq and Kalla Go Fishing is a story of two unlikely friends, a lemming and an Arctic hare, that decide to spend the day together ice fishing. The lemming embodies the calm, thoughtful nature of traditional hunters, and those that live in the Arctic. This is contrasted with the well-meaning, but impatient Arctic rabbit.
