Over the course of six weeks in the summer of 1969, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park.

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson is an American musician, record producer, disc jockey, filmmaker, music journalist, and actor. He co-founded the jazz/hip-hop group the Roots. Questlove is also an Academy Award-winning director of the 2021 documentary Summer of Soul.
