Inkspire Table Read

RPFF and INKspire present a live table read of a feature film written by actor, writer and filmmaker, Janet-Rose Nguyen. Developed during her time as Writer-in-Residence at INKspire, the script is a heartwarming holiday story based in Toronto. The table read will feature professional Toronto-based actors, and will be followed by a Q&A with Janet-Rose Nguyen.

Janet-Rose Nguyen Creator
Janet-Rose Nguyen is an award-winning actress and writer. Her work explores magic, horror, feminism, queerness, and the Asian diaspora. She served as the co-chair of the ACTRA Diversity & Inclusion Committee and on ACTRA Toronto Council. An alumnus of the Reelworld Emerging 20 Program and the CFC’s CBC Actors Conservatory, she taught screenwriting workshops as the first Writer in Residence for INKspire. As an independent filmmaker her films have been featured with the National Screen Institute and Myseum Toronto. You can catch her next in Doomlands (RokuTV).
